Lucio Garau (born 9 December 1959) is an Italian composer of contemporary music and pianist. Garau graduated in Piano and Composition at the Conservatorio di Cagliari, where he studied with Franco Oppo.〔http://www.sardegnadigitallibrary.it/documenti/17_82_20080514153058.pdf〕 His compositional aesthetics are influenced from acousmatic issues, but he also composes vocal and instrumental chamber music, sometimes with live electronics.
